MANAGING MY EMOTIONS
- Emotions can come in combinations where two or more emotions can be experienced at once
- Unchecked emotions can lead to alcohol and/or drug use
- Your emotions belong to you, but may be influenced by others
- Your emotions can be sneaky, disguised and mislabeled
- Your “mind messages” are responsible for your feelings being positive or negative
GRIEF is an intense sadness we feel when we lose something or someone.
GRIEF is an honest emotion. If you avoid or hide from your feelings, you won’t reach that place of happiness and peace. This emotion, if not dealt with will haunt you!

- Don’t isolate yourself
- Stay connected to friends and family
- Pray and meditate on God’s Word to develop positive thoughts
- Allow time to heal
SHAME is the inner sense of being bad, worthless, defective, or not good enough, judging yourself and giving “you” a bad grade!
